Lisbon Elementary Science Fair Showcases Passion for Science: Local Community, Law Enforcement Judges Students’ Projects

The judges at McKinley Elementary’s science fair included Lisbon Mayor Peter Wilson, Lisbon Board of Education Member Jennifer Whitman, and Lisbon Board of Education President T.K. Hiscox. Among the judges were local community members, state highway patrol officers, and Lisbon police officers. State Highway Trooper Nathan Bowlen listened to Teagan Triplett and Aubree Keys discuss their experiment on soap vs. grease.

The fifth-grade students showcased their science fair projects to a panel of judges that included local community members, state highway patrol officers, and Lisbon police officers. The students displayed their creativity and knowledge in the projects they worked hard on for the science fair.

Some of the projects presented by the fifth-grade students included “The Impact Project” by Jax Huffman and Rydar Bowser, egg shell durability test by Skylar Lewis and Myriah Moore, and a project judged by Aubree Pancurak and Torie Young. These students demonstrated their passion for science through their hard work and dedication to creating unique and informative projects that showcased their understanding of scientific concepts.
