Les Snead: The First General Manager to Win the 2024 Horrigan Award for the Los Angeles Rams in Over a Decade

Les Snead, General Manager of the Rams, awarded the PFWA’s 2024 Horrigan Award.

Les Snead, the general manager of the Los Angeles Rams, has been awarded the 2024 Horrigan Award by the Pro Football Writers of America. This makes him the 52nd winner of the prestigious award and the first general manager to receive it since 2021. Snead was recognized for his professionalism and positive relationships with media members who cover the NFL. He joins former Rams head coach John Robinson as the second member of the Rams organization to win this award, with Robinson winning it in 1992.

The Horrigan Award is given annually to a league or club official who exemplifies qualities and professionalism in their interactions with pro football writers. The award is named after Jack Horrigan, a respected sportswriter for UPI and the Buffalo Evening News, who also served as the public relations director for the American Football League and the Buffalo Bills. Joe Horrigan, who is in his 45th year with the Pro Football Hall of Fame, continues to honor his father’s legacy through this prestigious award.

Snead’s win acknowledges his commitment to fostering positive relationships with media members and helping them in their coverage of the NFL. Other nominees for the 2024 Horrigan Award included 49ers General Manager John Lynch, NFL VP of Communications Brian McCarthy, and NFL EVP of Football Operations Troy Vincent. Congratulations to Les Snead on this well-deserved honor.
