Pacifics Experience First Loss in Sports Briefs

On Thursday night, the San Rafael Pacifics suffered their first loss of the season, falling to the Dublin Leprechauns 11-9 in a wild ninth-inning rally. Despite leading 5-3, the Leprechauns (1-5) scored four runs in the eighth inning to take the lead. The Pacifics responded with four runs of their own in the ninth, but Dublin came back to secure the victory.

Braxton King and Dan Crossan had strong performances for the Pacifics, with King going 2-for-3 and Crossan going 2-for-5. The teams are set to face each other for the fourth time in just two weeks on Saturday at Albert Park. Meanwhile, in a separate matchup, the Novato Knicks suffered a 4-0 loss against the Sonoma Stompers at Arnold Field. The Knicks are now gearing up to host a doubleheader against the Fairfield Indians at San Marin High School on Sunday.

As for other local sports news, it was announced that San Francisco Giants pitcher Tyler Anderson will be making a rehab start with the Triple A Sacramento River Cats on Saturday night at Sutter Health Park. Fans can expect to see Anderson pitching for one or two innings as he continues his recovery from Tommy John surgery last year.
