From the ancient solar observatories in Mexico to the cutting-edge radio telescopes in the Andes, Latin America has been a hub for astronomical research and discoveries for centuries. The region is home to some of the best locations for studying the cosmos, making it an ideal place for scientists and researchers to explore the mysteries of space.

In collaboration with Science Friday and El País: América Futura, a 7-week newsletter focusing on astronomy and space science from Latin America is set to launch on May 22nd. The newsletter will feature stories available in both English and Spanish, making its content accessible to a wider audience. Santiago Flórez, Science Friday’s community manager, will be writing each story. With a background in teaching, anthropology, and journalism, Santiago is passionate about sharing stories from the world of science with the public. The launch of this newsletter is sure to inspire curiosity and wonder about our place in the universe.
