Lapeer High School and Turrill Elementary School undergo Construction Transformation with Upgraded Facilities

Lapeer High School and Turrill Elementary School are both undergoing construction work as part of the Lapeer Community Schools district. At Lapeer High School, crews are busy installing footings, underground utilities, and two layers of block for the new science labs. Meanwhile, at Turrill Elementary School, walls are being constructed for a new multi-purpose gym room.

In addition to these projects, both schools are also undergoing bathroom renovations and HVAC upgrades as part of the bond construction project approved by voters in November 2022. The $44-million bond is being utilized for various construction projects throughout the district to improve school facilities and provide a better learning environment for students.

The ongoing construction work at both schools is aimed at enhancing the overall student experience and creating modern, comfortable learning spaces that will better serve the needs of students and teachers alike. With the renovations and upgrades set to be completed in the near future, students at Lapeer High School and Turrill Elementary School can look forward to a more enjoyable and productive school year ahead.
