Lanier Technical College’s Motorsports Vehicle Technology Program Takes Center Stage at the Indianapolis 500 with Four Graduates Competing”.

Lanier Tech Motorsports Vehicle Technology Program Greatly Expands

Lanier Technical College’s Motorsports Vehicle Technology Program has recently achieved a remarkable milestone as four of its graduates participated in the Annual Indianapolis 500. The graduates and their respective racing teams and drivers are: Andrew Pasqual with Christian Lundgaard from Rahal Letterman Lanigan, Anthony Alday with Petro Fittipaldi from Rahal Letterman Lanigan, Ian Keith with Sting Ray Rob from AJ Foyt Racing, and Tyler Scheele with Will Power from Team Penske (who qualified 2nd).

The program was established in 1999 at the college’s Hall County Campus to address the workforce shortage in various race tracks, racing teams, and performance shops across the country. The program aims to provide students with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the motorsports industry. Through hands-on training and classroom instruction, graduates are prepared to enter the field as qualified professionals. This recent success at the Indianapolis 500 is a testament to the quality of education and training provided by Lanier Technical College’s MVT Program.
