Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson’s 2024 contract included a fully-guaranteed workout bonus of $750,000. However, in order to earn it, he needed to attend at least 80 percent of the voluntary offseason workouts. Despite this, he declined to address the loss of the bonus when speaking to reporters at the team’s mandatory minicamp on Wednesday. Jackson stated that he never discusses his contract in public and is solely focused on improving and preparing for the upcoming season.
When asked if he would be working out with teammates during the break before training camp, Jackson expressed his willingness to do so but noted that some players may not be willing to leave their state. He emphasized that in order for the team to reach the Super Bowl, they need to work hard and build chemistry together. This sentiment highlights the importance of offseason workouts in building team cohesion, which would have resulted in Jackson receiving the $750,000 bonus if he had met the attendance requirements.
