Lakers Overcome James Absence with Remarkable Performances by Davis and Reaves in Double-Overtime Victory

Lakers Comeback from 19-Point Deficit, Defeat Bucks in Double OT Thriller without LeBron James

The Los Angeles Lakers pulled off an impressive double-overtime victory against the Milwaukee Bucks without LeBron James on Tuesday. The team was led by Anthony Davis and Austin Reaves in the 128-124 win, overcoming a 19-point deficit in the fourth quarter to force overtime.

Davis had a stellar performance, recording 34 points, 23 rebounds, four blocks, two steals, and two assists in a career-high 52 minutes of play. Reaves also had a remarkable game with a triple-double, contributing 29 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists. Both players played pivotal roles in leading the Lakers to victory.

In the fourth quarter, the trio of Davis, Reaves, and Russell scored all but two of the Lakers’ points, erasing a significant lead held by the Bucks. Despite their impressive performance, Giannis Antetokounmpo’s struggles at the free-throw line ultimately hindered the Bucks as the Lakers took control in the second overtime.

Lillard finished with 27 points on 9-of-29 shooting from the field and 3-of-14 from beyond the arc. The Lakers’ victory marked their second win this month against the Bucks without James following their March 8 win where Russell scored 44 points. This latest victory brought their record to 6-4 this season without him and kept them in ninth place in the Western Conference just two games behind Phoenix Suns for eighth spot.
