Kylian Mbappe to Wear Protective Mask as he Returns to Play after Nose Injury in Austria Clash

France unsure if Mbappe will play against Netherlands

The French Football Federation (FFF) has announced that Kylian Mbappe will not require surgery for the nose injury he sustained against Austria in France’s recent victory. The 25-year-old striker is expected to wear a protective mask when he returns to play, as he recovers from the collision with an opponent’s shoulder during an aerial challenge. Despite this setback, France’s head coach Didier Deschamps has stated that Mbappe is doing well and is expected to join Real Madrid after the tournament once his contract with Paris St-Germain expires.

Cesc Fabregas, a BBC pundit and former Spain international, believes that wearing a mask will not affect Mbappe’s performance and that it will be comfortable after a few days. He recalled his own experience of breaking his nose during a game for Chelsea and quickly being fitted with a mask before returning to play. Based on Fabregas’s experiences, he believes that Mbappe will be able to play in their next match against the Netherlands without any hindrance.
