Kindle Owners Struggle with E-Book Downloads but Issue Resolved

Amazon repairs software glitch hindering eBook downloads on certain Kindle models

Since Wednesday, Kindle users have been experiencing difficulties in downloading e-books on their devices, both new purchases and previously acquired titles. This issue affected Kindle models such as Paperwhite, Oasis, Signature Edition, and Basic. Users reported the problem on various platforms like Amazon’s forum and Reddit, detailing how they were unable to download new or existing books on their devices, even after restarting them.

However, the Kindle app for Android and iOS smartphones continued to function normally without being impacted. Amazon acknowledged the server failure causing this problem and indicated that they were actively working on resolving the issue. Despite initial estimates suggesting it could take at least 48 hours to address it fully, the bug was successfully repaired after some time.

Amazon’s spokesperson Jackie Burke announced the repair of the bug hindering e-book downloads on Kindle devices. Users should now be able to resume normal access to their e-books on their respective devices. This update followed a period of uncertainty for Kindle owners but ultimately resulted in a positive outcome and restored functionality for affected users.
