Kentucky guard Rob Dillingham has recently been cleared to return to on-court activities after an ankle injury that kept him sidelined during much of the pre-draft process. On Wednesday, he is scheduled to workout with the San Antonio Spurs, as reported by ESPN’s Jonathan Givony. Following his workout with the Spurs, Dillingham will visit the Detroit Pistons and is also drawing interest from the Chicago Bulls and Utah Jazz for potential visits.
As a freshman at Kentucky, Dillingham was named the SEC Sixth Man of the Year and put up impressive numbers, averaging 15.2 points, 3.9 assists, 2.9 rebounds, and shooting 44.4% from 3-point range. He ranked ninth in the conference in assists and 3-point percentage, showcasing his versatility and speed on the court.
Standing at 6-foot-2, Dillingham is considered one of the top guards in the draft and could potentially be a top-10 pick. His quick speed and agility make him a dynamic player to watch both on and off the ball. With one more week left before the draft on June 26-27, Dillingham has an opportunity to make an impression on teams through workouts and interviews. While his draft range is still uncertain, he is touted as a potential franchise cornerstone at the professional level.
