Keeping Parking under Control during the Cricket World Cup in Nassau County

Warning to Cricket World Cup Attendees: Nassau Police Commissioner Reminds Not to Illegally Park in Surrounding Neighborhoods

In the lead-up to the Cricket World Cup, Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder has issued a stern warning to attendees: do not park in nearby neighborhoods unless you are a resident. Those who ignore this advice may receive a ticket or have their vehicle towed.

Residents living near Eisenhower Park in East Meadow have expressed concerns about parking congestion during large events. One resident shared that in the past, people have even offered to pay for the privilege of parking in her family’s driveway.

Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman has assured residents that measures will be put in place to ensure they have access to their homes and to prevent non-residents from parking in their neighborhoods. It is crucial for attendees to respect the community while attending events and to follow parking regulations to avoid any inconvenience or penalties.
