Katy Perry has officially announced her departure from her role as a judge on “American Idol,” ending her seven-season run on the show. Prior to this, she made her final appearance on the show, marking the end of her time as a judge. However, she wasn’t one to leave without making a statement. During a recent fashion show in Paris, Perry stole the spotlight in a revealing black dress designed by Noir Kei Ninomiya. The dress featured strategic cut-outs and delicate pink and black tulle on the skirt. She led a marching band down the runway while getting some walking tips from FKA Twigs and Cara Delevingne.

Perry is known for her bold fashion choices and this appearance was no exception, with her sleek black hair and lace-up boot heels completing the edgy look. In addition to her runway appearance, she recently announced the release of her new single, “Woman’s World,” set to debut on July 11, along with a new album to follow her 2020 release, “Smile.” Other celebrities in attendance at Vogue World included Kendall Jenner, Sabrina Carpenter, Bad Bunny, Gigi Hadid, Serena Williams, Ciara and Emma Chamberlain.

The event showcased a fusion of different sports with French fashion through the decades. The fashion show was complemented by performances from Bad Bunny and Aya Nakumura. Perry’s departure from “American Idol” was bittersweet for her as she expressed her desire to travel and focus on creating new music.
