Juventus Dismisses Weston McKennie from Their Squad: What’s Next for the Midfielder?

Juventus leaves Weston McKennie out of club plans

The Serie A giants, Juventus, have made the decision not to include midfielder Weston McKennie in their plans for the upcoming season. Reports suggest that the club views McKennie as surplus to requirements and has communicated this decision to him recently. As a result, McKennie is now actively seeking opportunities with other clubs.

During the previous season, McKennie had emerged as one of Juventus’ key players and the club was in the process of negotiating a contract renewal with him. However, negotiations hit a roadblock when McKennie requested a salary of €5 million net per year. Juventus attempted to include the midfielder in a potential swap deal for Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz, but McKennie rejected the proposal.

With his future at Juventus now uncertain, McKennie’s representatives have been informed by the club that he will not be part of the registered squad for the upcoming campaign. It remains to be seen where McKennie will end up as he looks to secure a new challenge and continue his career in professional football.
