Individual found guilty of murdering at Tuskegee business in 2019 shooting incident

The 5th Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s office announced that Maurice Demond Davis has been found guilty of murder and felon in possession of a firearm for the shooting death of MiKayce Parker at a Tuskegee business in 2019. The jury deliberated for only 53 minutes before reaching a verdict. Davis, who has a history of criminal offenses, is set to be sentenced on May 9. Prosecutors are seeking to have him sentenced as a habitual offender due to his prior felonies.

The incident occurred during an argument at Busy Bees, which was previously known as the venue where the shooting took place. It is not clear what led to the argument or why Davis brought a firearm with him to the business. However, it is clear that Davis’ actions resulted in the death of MiKayce Parker and put others in danger.

Davis’ sentencing will take into account his previous criminal offenses, including any other charges related to this incident. It is not yet known what sentence he will receive, but it is likely that it will be severe due to the nature of the crime and his history of offending.

It is important for those involved in this case to remember that there are consequences for their actions, and that violence should never be used as a means of resolving disputes or achieving one’s goals.
