Juno Technology and Wood Collaborate to Revolutionize Waste Recovery with Pioneering Circular Economy Solutions

Wood collaborates with Georgia-Pacific’s Juno to develop waste reduction technology.

Juno Technology and Georgia-Pacific (GP) company, Wood, have partnered to implement a revolutionary waste recovery solution. Under a framework agreement, Wood will provide comprehensive engineering services for Juno’s new waste processing sites around the world. The company will assist in the ongoing maintenance of the facilities once they are operational.

Juno’s specialized process recycles materials from waste streams heading towards landfills or incinerators. This process cleanses the waste and recovers materials like paper fibers, plastics, and metals for future use. Additionally, it can convert food waste into biogas for reuse. Giuseppe Zuccaro, President of Process & Chemicals at Wood, is excited about the collaboration with Juno as it aligns with Wood’s focus on sustainability and presents an opportunity to support clients in achieving circular economy solutions.

Christer Henriksson, President of Juno Technology, is thrilled about the partnership with Wood as it allows them to expand their technology and develop projects in various regions like North America, Europe, the UK, and Australia. Juno’s technology can process Municipal Solid Waste and divert up to 90% away from landfills, which helps cities and communities achieve their sustainability objectives. The FEED for Juno’s first commercial waste processing facility in the UK is currently in progress.
