June 2021: Apple, Samsung and Honor Top the Selling Chart for Chinese Phone Brand OnePlus

These phones are being purchased by consumers at this moment

In June, the Chinese company OnePlus emerged as the top-selling phone brand across several mobile phone retailers, including Elisa, Telia, and Dna. The best-selling phones in this category were predominantly 5G models from big manufacturers like Apple, Samsung, and Honor. Interestingly, Apple’s iPhone models 13 and 15, as well as Samsung Galaxy’s A series phones, were also among the top sellers.

For business customers, Apple and Samsung’s A-series devices were particularly popular. This highlights the divide between more expensive and budget-friendly models in the market. Gigantti’s sales manager Jyri Helistön suggested that tighter budgets could impact spending on certain phone categories. Similarly, Elisa emphasized that promotional campaigns played a role in driving sales across various price ranges in June.

Telia noted a growing interest in 5G technology among customers, with all top ten best-sellers being 5G-enabled devices. As schools ended and discount sales increased, Telia reported a busy period in the phone market in June. Dna echoed this sentiment, mentioning that the summer season often prompts people to consider device upgrades, especially when transitioning between locations where battery life and screen visibility could play crucial roles in meeting their needs.
