Juan Soto’s Elbow Injury: From Concerns to Optimism

Juan Soto, Yankees standout, has a positive feeling about his swings

On Sunday, Yankees superstar Juan Soto made his first appearance since avoiding a potentially serious injury. Following the game, Soto expressed optimism about his condition, stating, “I feel good today,” with a smile. However, he mentioned that he would need to assess how his elbow feels on Monday before determining if he will play in the upcoming game against Kansas City.

Soto’s use of the word “elbow” has caused concerns about his injury, but recent imaging showed that while there is inflammation, there is no ligament damage. Soto has clarified that the elbow and forearm are interconnected, leading him not to distinguish between the two when discussing his injury.

During the Dodgers series, Soto did not participate on the field. Although he was not considered an option for pinch-hitting on Sunday, manager Aaron Boone noted that he showed improvement during pregame activities. The team will monitor Soto’s progress and decide on his availability for the next game based on his recovery.
