Jose Mourinho, a renowned manager who has been out of work since January when he was sacked by Roma, is set to become the new coach of Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce. With an impressive record of losing only one game and earning 99 points in his final season at Roma, Ismail Kartal will be departing from the club after the team finished as runners-up in the league to city rivals Galatasaray.

Fenerbahce made their negotiations with Mourinho public on their disclosure platform KAP, informing their investors about their discussions with Jose Mario Dos Santos Mourinho Felix for the position of first-team coach. Throughout his career spanning 24 years, Mourinho has won numerous titles including the Champions League, Europa League, and Europa Conference League while managing top clubs like Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Manchester United. He has accumulated a total of 21 major honors across his career, beginning with his success in Portugal at Benfica and continuing with managerial spells at Porto, Inter Milan, Tottenham, and most recently Roma where he led them to victory in the Europa Conference League and guided them to the Europa League final.

Mourinho’s appointment at Fenerbahce marks his return to football management in a new chapter of his illustrious career. In a video released by the club, Mourinho addressed the fans directly and expressed excitement about starting this new journey together.
