‘Jurassic World’ Film Casts ‘Wicked’ Actor Jonathan Bailey

Jonathan Bailey, who recently starred in the Showtime series Fellow Travelers, is reportedly in talks to join the cast of Universal and Amblin Entertainment’s new Jurassic World movie. The film, directed by Gareth Edwards and set for release on July 2, 2025, will offer a fresh take on the Jurassic era with new cast members and no returning actors from previous films in the series. David Koepp has written the script for this highly anticipated project at Universal, which is being executive produced by Steven Spielberg with Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley as producers.

Bailey’s involvement in the movie comes after his successful appearance in Wicked, an upcoming adaptation of the popular musical that has generated excitement following a recent presentation at Cinemacon. Bailey’s recent success in Fellow Travelers has earned him critical acclaim and awards recognition, including a Critics Choice award. With representation from CAA, Anonymous Content, and Conway van Gelder Grant Ltd., Bailey is expected to continue his rise to stardom in his career.
