Joey Fingland, a senior at New Ulm Cathedral, recently shot an impressive 84 at the New Ulm Country Club during the Tomahawk Conference Golf Tournament. This helped lead his team to an early lead in the conference title race. In an exclusive interview conducted by Travis Rosenau, Fingland shared some insights about his favorite golfer, courses, food, hobbies and movie.

When asked about his favorite golfer, Fingland revealed that he is a big fan of Scottie Scheffler but also admitted to having a soft spot for Rory McIlroy. He was particularly fond of the Wild Rock course in Wisconsin Dells, praising its beauty and challenge. Fingland also confessed that his go-to meal is a classic hamburger and fries, especially the one served at the New Ulm Country Club.

Off the golf course, Fingland enjoys watching baseball and softball games as many of his friends play those sports. When it comes to movies, he chose Captain America: Civil War as his favorite. It’s clear that Fingland has a passion for golf and a well-rounded set of interests beyond the links.
