The winter tracker for JMU football has been created to keep tabs on all the movement happening within the team. Although there have been no transfer additions so far, several players have departed from the team. Tyrique Tucker, a defensive tackle, had significant playing time and production in the 2023 season but has decided to leave. Sammy Malignaggi, a backup running back, saw limited opportunities last season and likely wouldn’t have seen much playing time in 2024. Solomon Vanhorse, a versatile player at running back and returner, had a successful career with the Dukes but was expected to be the third running back on the depth chart. Collin Carroll, a tight end who redshirted in 2023, has also left in search of more playing time. Wesley Bostic, an offensive lineman with three years of eligibility left, was not expected to see much playing time in 2024.
