Eric Stephenson, publisher & chief creative officer at Image Comics, is excited to announce the arrival of Jim Viscardi as the company’s new VP of Business Development. Viscardi, who previously worked at Marvel Entertainment, will join Image Comics in this new role and report directly to Eric Stephenson.
Viscardi’s passion for comics and work ethic were highlighted by Eric Stephenson in a statement. Viscardi’s experience in marketing, communications, and retailer relations made him an ideal candidate for the role at Image Comics. Despite going separate ways earlier in their careers, they are excited to work together now.
Before joining Image Comics, Viscardi co-founded comicbook.com in 2015 and later sold it to CBS Interactive. At comicbook.com, he oversaw the site’s editorial strategy and various other responsibilities that helped it gain prominence in the industry. His next move is to Image Comics, where he will serve as the VP of Business Development and contribute to the company’s legacy of supporting creator-owned publishing and driving business growth to benefit partners in the Direct Market and beyond. Together with the Image team, Viscardi aims to inspire innovation and amplify the voices of creators worldwide.
