Jersey Shore Welcomes Top MLB Prospects Aidan Miller and George Klassen to High-A Level

Two Phillies prospects inching towards the majors

Jersey Shore has welcomed two top prospects from the 2023 MLB Draft, shortstop Aidan Miller and pitcher George Klassen. Both players have been promoted to High-A level, with their impressive performances for the Clearwater Threshers.

The news of their promotion was reported by Milb Central’s Chase Ford and confirmed by MLB.com’s Jonathan Mayo. Miller, who was the 27th overall pick and the Phillies’ No. 2-ranked prospect, had an exceptional start with the Threshers, leading the Florida State League in doubles and ranking in the top five in slugging percentage and OPS.

Klassen, on the other hand, earned his promotion through dominant performances. In nine starts for Clearwater, he allowed only 21 hits and struck out 57 batters in 38 innings, with an exceptional ERA of 0.71. His three-pitch mix, which includes a high-90s fastball, curveball, and cutter, has been baffling hitters. Despite struggling with control in college, Klassen has shown significant improvement in his command as a pro.

Both players are set to make their next starts for Jersey Shore against the Wilmington Blue Rocks. With their impressive performance at High-A level, they are both looking forward to continuing their journey towards becoming professional baseball players with the Phillies franchise.
