Jefferson Health and Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) officially signed an agreement to merge on Wednesday morning, creating one of the largest health care systems in the country. Once the merger is complete, the unified organization will consist of 30 hospitals in Eastern Pennsylvania and South Jersey, with over 700 sites employing more than 65,000 individuals. This makes it the largest employer in the greater Philadelphia region.
