Jaromír Jágr is a hockey legend who has defied age as he enters his 36th professional season with Rytíři Kladno. At the age of 52, he recently became the oldest professional hockey player, surpassing Gordie Howe’s record.
Jágr’s impressive legacy in the NHL includes ranking second in all-time scoring with 1,921 points and fourth in goals scored with 766. He played for nine different teams over his 24-year career in North America before returning to Kladno. Despite battling injuries this season, Jágr has persevered and remained active on the ice.
During his time away from the ice, Jágr returned to Pittsburgh where he participated in Mario Lemieux’s adult fantasy camp and had his No. 68 retired by the franchise.
