Japan’s Haneda Airport Tops the World in Cleanliness for the Ninth Year in a Row

For the ninth consecutive year, Japan’s Haneda Airport has been named the cleanest airport in the world.

Skytrax, a leading airport surveyor, has released its annual report on the cleanest airports worldwide. In recent years, there has been an increased emphasis on cleanliness and hygiene in public spaces such as airports. This year’s report shows that Japan’s Haneda Airport retains its spot as the cleanest airport for the ninth consecutive year. Other Japanese airports like Tokyo Narita and Kansai also rank in the top ten. Seoul Incheon and Singapore Changi claim the second and third spots respectively, with Zurich from Europe making an appearance in tenth place.

While no North American or UK airports made it to the top ten globally, several regional winners were named according to Skytrax. These include Centrair Nagoya in Japan, Doha Hamad in Qatar, Hong Kong International Airport, Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, and Zurich Airport in Switzerland.
