Jamestown Flag Football Team Defeats West Seneca West with Ella Propheter’s Key Contribution

On Thursday, Jamestown’s flag football team defeated West Seneca West with a score of 20-6 in Section VI Division 1. The team’s success was led by Ella Propheter (24), who scored a touchdown and converted two two-point conversions, as well as returned an interception for a 64-yard touchdown. She also contributed to the team’s rushing game with 61 yards.

Kaylee Leeper also played a key role in the team’s victory, scoring a touchdown and converting one point while having five pass breakups and four flag pulls. Defensive standout Kendall Wilson made significant contributions with seven flag pulls, including four sacks. Chryssa Wahl and Abbie Brandow also had four flag pulls each.

Despite facing some difficulties in the passing game during the match, Jamestown’s overall performance was satisfactory. Head coach Steve Propheter praised his team for their resilience and skill on both sides of the ball, setting a solid foundation for the rest of the season. Jamestown will next face Lancaster on Monday in their next game.
