USA Basketball Roster Announced for Paris Olympics: LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Joel Embiid Headline Squad

The upcoming Paris Olympics will see two basketball superstars, LeBron James and Stephen Curry, playing together as teammates for the first time. Team USA is putting together an all-star roster for the Summer Games, featuring James, Curry, Joel Embiid, Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum, Devin Booker, Tyrese Haliburton, Anthony Edwards, Jrue Holiday, Bam Adebayo and Anthony Davis.

The team may have one roster spot left open initially and Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr will lead the team with assistance from Tyronn Lue, Erik Spoelstra and Mark Few. The returning players from the last Olympics include Tatum, Durant, Booker and Holiday who won gold in Tokyo in 2021. This will be James’ fourth Olympic appearance; he previously won gold in 2008 and 2012 and took home a bronze in 2004.

The team is looking to redeem themselves after a disappointing performance at the FIBA World Cup last summer and will face tough competition from teams such as host nation France as well as Serbia and Canada who are expected to field strong rosters with players like Victor Wembanyama Rudy Gobert Nikola Jokić Shai Gilgeous Alexander.
