IUP Baseball Program Makes History with First NCAA DII Super Regional Series Win and Fifth Seed in World Series

IUP baseball earns No. 5 seed in NCAA Division II College World Series

The IUP baseball program has achieved a remarkable milestone by winning its first NCAA Super Regional series in program history. As a result, they have earned the fifth seed in the 2024 NCAA DII College World Series, as announced on Sunday night. This marks a historic moment for the Crimson Hawks, who have never before made it to the DII World Series.

With a season record of 38-16, IUP will kick off the double-elimination championship tournament against No. 5 seed Point Loma on June 1 at 1:30 p.m. in Cary, North Carolina. The team faced adversity during the NCAA Super Regionals after losing the first game to Seton Hill.
