IU Health has opened a second Urgent Care location in Bloomington at 482 S. Liberty Drive. This westside office is now open for walk-in service from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends and holidays. The move is part of IU Health’s commitment to meeting the healthcare needs of local communities in south-central Indiana.
Mike Teague, IU Health South Central Region primary care service line medical executive, explained the importance of providing convenient, non-emergency care for minor medical concerns that cannot wait for a primary care appointment. The new Urgent Care location will focus on providing immediate, non-life-threatening care such as minor illnesses, injuries, and wellness screenings. Additionally, the office offers occupational health services for employees, including injury treatment, testing, immunizations, and exams.
IU Health’s Bloomington Urgent Care location also caters to veteran services as a U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs community provider. Patients can easily schedule a visit by calling (812) 353-3443 or reserving a spot in the walk-in line on their website
