Israeli forces issue new evacuation orders for towns in Gaza Strip amid ongoing conflict

Israel orders new evacuation in Khan Younis and Rafah during Gaza War

Israeli forces have issued a new evacuation order for towns in Khan Younis and Rafah governorates in the southern Gaza Strip, where many Palestinians were previously displaced due to fighting. According to Avichay Adraee, spokesperson for the Israeli army, the evacuation was ordered for al-Qarara and Bani Suheila as well as other towns in the east of the two governorates.

Residents and displaced persons in the affected areas were urged to evacuate promptly. Witnesses reported that many residents had already left after receiving the evacuation order.

The evacuation order came after 20 projectiles were fired at Israeli soil from Khan Younis earlier in the day. The al-Quds Brigades, which is the armed wing of Islamic Jihad, claimed responsibility for the attacks, stating that they had targeted Israeli localities around Gaza.

The conflict between Israel and Hamas has been ongoing since 2007 when an attack by Hamas on Israeli soil resulted in significant casualties on both sides. Since then, there have been numerous clashes between Israel and Hamas that have led to a significant loss of life and displacement of civilians. The situation remains tense as Israel continues its operations in the region with no immediate resolution in sight.
