Israeli Army Launches Deadly Anti-Terrorist Operation in Jenin, Palestine: At Least Seven Dead and Nine Injured

The Israeli Army has launched an anti-terrorist operation in the West Bank city of Jenin, resulting in the deaths of at least seven Palestinians and injuries to nine others. According to Palestinian authorities, the operation has resulted in “seven martyrs and nine wounded, including two in serious condition”. However, the director of Jenin Public Hospital stated that the victims were civilians, including a surgeon from the medical center, a teacher, and a student who were in the area at the time of the operation.

The rise in violence is part of ongoing conflict since 2023, which escalated following attacks by Hamas on October 7 that resulted in thousands of deaths and abductions. Israel responded with an offensive against Gaza, which led to thousands more deaths due to Israeli offensives. Over 500 Palestinians have also been killed in the West Bank and East Jerusalem by Israeli forces and settlers.

The situation remains tense with ongoing violence and casualties on both sides. The conflict has sparked international concern and calls for a peaceful resolution to the longstanding dispute between Israelis and Palestinians.
