Israeli Air Raid Kills Hamas Weapons Expert: Netanyahu Prepares for Multiple Fronts, Condemns Attacks on Cyprus

The Israeli military announced the killing of Muhammad Salah, a weapons expert working at Hamas headquarters, in an air raid in the Gaza Strip. Salah was responsible for overseeing several terrorist teams involved in weapon development. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the most intense phase of the war in Rafah was coming to an end and that some forces may be moved to the north for defensive purposes and to allow displaced people to return home.

Netanyahu also emphasized that Israel is prepared to face multiple fronts if necessary. In response to threats from Hezbollah, Netanyahu expressed a willingness to accept a diplomatic solution but only on Israel’s terms, which would include removing Hezbollah from the border. Anti-government protesters in Israel have been demanding Netanyahu’s resignation and calling for a general strike to pressure the government.

The situation in southern Lebanon has caused concern, with EU High Representative Josep Borrell expressing worries about escalating tensions between Israel and Lebanon. German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock is set to visit Israel and Lebanon to address these tensions directly. Meanwhile, Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis condemned threats from Hezbollah against Cyprus, emphasizing Cyprus’ sovereignty as a member of the European Union.

In other news, the Israel Defense Forces recently conducted a successful test of a rocket propulsion system, demonstrating their continued commitment to maintaining their technological edge in the region.
