Isaiah Thomas Completes NBA Comeback with Phoenix Suns Signing: What to Expect from Remainder of Season

Suns confirm Isaiah Thomas will stay with team for the rest of the season

The Phoenix Suns are set to sign point guard Isaiah Thomas for the remainder of the season, as reported by Shams Charania on Monday. Thomas previously played for the Suns during the 2014-15 season and rejoined the team on March 20 after completing an NBA comeback. In his time with the team, Thomas has played in four out of 10 games, scoring five points and two assists in 14 minutes.

Prior to joining the Suns, Thomas played four games with the G League Salt Lake City Stars. Head coach Frank Vogel mentioned that Thomas would not be part of the rotation when the team is healthy but would provide depth in case of injuries or foul trouble. Thomas expressed confidence in his ability to score when called upon and also in his capacity to be a positive influence in the locker room.

The Suns are battling for a top six spot to avoid the play-in tournament with just four games remaining in the regular season. They are scheduled to face the Los Angeles Clippers twice in the upcoming week, with a home game on Tuesday followed by an away game on Wednesday.
