On my recent flight from New York City to Edinburgh on JetBlue, I had the pleasure of experiencing their top-of-the-line business class option, the Mint Studio. The studio was incredibly spacious, featuring a bench, a cabinet with a mirror, and the largest TV of any airline. It felt like having my own private apartment in the sky, a luxurious experience that was truly unexpected.
While sitting in the front row of business class, I couldn’t help but be impressed by the Mint Studio’s high-end features. However, at prices starting around $4,000 per person, I’m not sure if it’s worth the splurge. Luckily for me, I secured a press rate of $1,300 for this flight and a return trip in JetBlue’s “Even More Space” economy section.
Despite its luxurious amenities and comfortable seating options, I believe that the Mint Studio may not be worth the extra expense compared to JetBlue’s standard business class seats. While the bench provided additional space when fully reclined, it didn’t significantly enhance my overall flight experience beyond what I would expect from regular Mint seats in terms of food options, amenities, and entertainment offerings. For those looking to save money while still enjoying a comfortable and relaxing flight experience during transatlantic travel, sticking with standard business class seats may be a more cost-effective choice.
