Ziad Ali Fadel, the Iraqi Minister of Electricity, is thrilled to announce the official launch of the electrical interconnection line with Jordan. The launch will take place tomorrow, Saturday. He stated that after much anticipation, the interconnection line between Iraq and Jordan will finally be operational.

The electrical connection line spans 330 km within Iraqi territory and 6 km within Jordanian territory, with a voltage of 132 KV. In the first phase, it will supply approximately 40 megawatts, with plans to increase to 150 megawatts in the second phase. However, Fadel’s ultimate goal is to reach 500 megawatts in the future to power large parts of Anbar Governorate. This accomplishment marks a significant milestone for Iraq and Jordan in their efforts to enhance energy infrastructure and provide reliable electricity to their citizens.
