Intuitive Machines, a company that specializes in space exploration, infrastructure, and services, has recently signed a new lease at Cromwell Business Park with St. John Properties Inc. The Houston-based company previously leased a smaller space in 2021 and is currently leasing additional space at BWI Commerce Park. They plan to move into the new 21,117 square foot facility at 881 Cromwell Park Drive this fall. Initially, the facility will house approximately 20 employees, with plans to grow to 40 by the end of next year.
Intuitive Machines is known for disrupting lunar access economics and made headlines earlier this year by successfully landing their lunar lander named Odysseus on the Moon, marking the first time the United States has returned to the lunar surface since 1972. The new space at Cromwell Business Park will be used for building and testing space-flight equipment and hardware, featuring an office component and a climate-controlled warehouse primarily used for testing processes. The staff includes mechanical and aerospace engineers, electromechanical technicians, and engineering support staff.
Cromwell Business Park is a 165-acre business community in Glen Burnie that features a variety of buildings including flex/R&D buildings, single-story office buildings, retail buildings, and free-standing pad sites. In total, the business park offers nearly 900,000 square feet of space for businesses to utilize.
