International Leaders Gather at Venaria Palace for Historic G7 Environment, Energy, and Climate Summit

The G7 Environment, Energy, and Climate meeting is happening at the Royal Palace of Venaria with the Italian Presidency leading the way. The ministerial meeting will take place from today until tomorrow and will be divided into four sessions. The opening session will start at 10 am with a plenary session among the ministers, followed by a work session focused on Climate and Energy. Afterward, an Environment session will take place to conclude the first day of meetings. On Tuesday, a new plenary meeting of all Ministers will begin the day, followed by a joint press conference with Italian minister Gilberto Pichetto and counterparts from Japan and Canada.

The Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security delegation is leading the discussions, with Minister Pichetto, Deputy Minister Vannia Gava, and Undersecretary Claudio Barbaro present. Technical meetings of working groups have been held in recent months to develop themes that are central to the discussion. In addition to ministerial representatives from several countries, key Commissioners from the European Commission are also present. Representatives from various international institutions and organizations have been invited to participate in the summit, highlighting its global significance.
