Intense Doubleheader: Wachusett and St. Paul Fight to the Finish in Worcester, Mass.

Rivalry renewed: Wachusett and St. Paul face off in baseball

The doubleheader between the Wachusett and St. Paul baseball teams at Tivnan Field in Worcester, Mass. was a closely contested affair. In the first game, Wachusett emerged victorious with a score of 6-5 after nine innings. Wachusett took an early lead by scoring single runs in the second, third, and fourth innings to go up 3-0. With the game tied, Colon Kreuz delivered an RBI single in the bottom of the seventh, sending the game into extra innings. In the top of the ninth, Caden Lane scored the winning run for Wachusett. Ethan DiVito hit a home run for the Mountaineers, while Nate Roy had a strong performance going 3-4 with three RBI. For St. Paul, Kreuz went 3-3 at the plate.

Both starting pitchers, Matt Moreno for Wachusett and Nick Fennucio for St. Paul, delivered solid performances on the mound. The rivalry between Wachusett and St. Paul was on full display as both teams battled hard in a closely contested doubleheader.
