Nove Mesto welcomed riders back to its classic venue for the first time in the 2024 season as the European rounds got underway. The flat and slick course was once again the stage for intense competition, with Riley Amos continuing his winning streak and Isabella Holmgren emerging as the new champion in the women’s race.

The elite women’s XCC race was marked by some of the toughest competition of the day, with Alessandra Keller claiming her first win of 2024 after a grueling 19-minute effort. The short course format made for a challenging race, with high speeds and mixed track conditions pushing riders to their limits. In a thrilling finish, Keller’s final sprint secured her victory over Pauline Ferrand Prevot and Haley Batten.

In the elite men’s XCC race, Victor Koretzky and Christopher Blevins from Specialized continued their dominance atop the leaderboard. After an intense effort, Koretzky out-sprinted Blevins and Thomas Litsher to secure first place by just a narrow margin. The competition was so tight that all three racers finished within one second of each other, highlighting the high stakes in Nove Mesto.

After completing a demanding short track race, riders had little time to recover before they faced off on the full Nove Mesto course for the main event. With more thrilling challenges ahead, it promised to be another weekend full of excitement as riders pushed themselves to their limits on this iconic course.
