Innovative Technologies Revolutionizing Construction Industry Showcased at Campus Event

Keystone Precision Solutions recently showcased their expertise in emerging technologies within architecture, surveying, construction, and engineering industries on campus. Despite the rainy weather preventing them from demonstrating their unmanned aerial vehicles, they were able to present their GPS, laser scanning, unmanned aerial vehicles, and precision measuring technologies in the Bardo Gym.

During the visit, students had the opportunity to see equipment such as a robotic total station, laser scanner, and unmanned aircraft systems in action. The demonstration highlighted how these tools can be used in real-world settings to enhance data collection and analysis processes.

The visit was made possible through the coordination of Ken Fronheiser, the director of strategic integration and technology at Keystone Precision Solutions and a 1999 graduate of the college’s civil engineering technology and surveying programs. In addition, Shanin L. Dougherty, David J. Fedor, and Ellyn A. Lester from the college’s staff also played instrumental roles in organizing the event. Overall, the visit provided students with valuable insights into cutting-edge technologies that are shaping the future of the industry.

Keystone Precision Solutions representatives presented their expertise in various applications such as surveying, site layouts, contour mapping, 3D modeling and more.

Students were able to see how these technologies work in practice during a demonstration of equipment such as robotic total stations and unmanned aircraft systems.

The visit was made possible by Ken Fronheiser who is a 1999 graduate of our civil engineering technology program along with other staff members who played an instrumental role in organizing the event.

Overall, this visit provided students with valuable insights into cutting-edge technologies that are shaping the future of construction industry.
