A recent war in Gaza has put a strain on Israel’s mental health system, with long queues for care among families of abductees, evacuees, and returning fighters. In response, a new Israeli startup called NTW (New Technology for Well-Being) is using existing technology to provide solutions for those affected by the conflict.
The technology developed by NTW is based on a system that combines a computerized questionnaire and a neuro-feedback tool. This system can accurately identify the causes of eating disorders in autistic children and provide effective treatment. NTW has conducted controlled clinical trials to diagnose the causes of obesity and other diseases resulting from unbalanced eating behaviors in autistic individuals.
The startup’s technology not only focuses on treating eating disorders but also emphasizes the importance of maintaining balanced eating behaviors and controlling weight loss processes. It has been successful in reducing anxiety and maintaining resilience, particularly among children and teenagers who were evacuated and soldiers returning from reserves.
NTW is part of the social enterprise Hakutism, which promotes innovative solutions for challenges related to autism. The project has created a unique ecosystem that brings together entrepreneurs, parents of children on the autism spectrum, professionals in innovation and technology, and volunteers to work towards a common vision. The college has also adopted the project, integrating students into the member companies to learn about entrepreneurship and conduct market research for their growth.
Rimon Tobin, founder of Hakutism, highlights the impact of creating solutions for the special community that can also benefit heroic soldiers. By collaborating and creating partnerships within the ecosystem, the project aims to build a better future for everyone involved.
