Injury Setback Slows Hartman’s Move to Premier League: Can Arsenal Sign him for Defensive Reinforcements?

Arsenal set sights on Feyenoord’s Quilindschy Hartman

Feyenoord left-back Quilindschy Hartman is currently recovering from a serious knee injury suffered in March, which ruled him out of the European Championship and will extend into the next Eredivisie season. Despite this setback, he remains highly regarded in the Premier League, with Arsenal closely monitoring his comeback as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his defense for the long term.

Hartman has drawn interest from Chelsea in the past, but Arsenal scouts also admire him and see potential in him making the jump to English football. Despite speculation of a potential summer transfer, Hartman’s injury has put those plans on hold for now. With two seasons left on his contract with Feyenoord, his future in the Premier League remains uncertain.

Although Arsenal sees Ajax teenager Jorrel Hato as an exciting prospect who can play at left-back or centre-back, Hartman’s experience and performance as a full-back for Feyenoord over the last two seasons make him a top choice. Under former manager Arne Slot, Hartman won the Eredivisie title and earned a call-up to the Netherlands national team before his injury.

Arsenal is looking to secure a more permanent solution at left-back, with Hartman emerging as a top target. Although Oleksandr Zinchenko and Jakub Kiwior were rotated at left-back last season by Takehiro Tomiyasu, they have not been able to provide consistent performances that meet Arteta’s standards. With Hartman’s experience and talent, he could be just what Arsenal needs to solidify their defense and compete for titles next season.
