Team India arrives in New York ahead of T20 World Cup 2024

Ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024, the first batch of Indian players has arrived in New York to take part in the upcoming ICC event. The squad includes skipper Rohit Sharma, pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah, and number one-ranked T20I batter Suryakumar Yadav. India will be vying to end their ICC trophy drought in the tournament, aiming to secure their first T20 World Cup title since winning the inaugural edition in 2007.

The Indian team arrived in New York on Saturday and shared a clip on social media showing them leaving the airport and boarding the team bus. The T20 World Cup campaign will kick off on June 5 against Ireland at the newly constructed Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. The highly anticipated India-Pakistan clash is scheduled for June 9, followed by matches against tournament co-hosts USA and Canada to wrap up their Group A matches.
