The Bartlesville Indians will be holding tryouts on May 16 in downtown Bartlesville, marking the start of another summer season. With 15 years of experience as manager, John Pannell is the longest serving manager in the team’s history. Last year, the Indians finished with a record of 15-17-1 and will be looking to return several key players to the roster for this season.

Pannell believes that there is something special about playing for the Indians that can help players grow, despite the rise of travel baseball and teams from larger cities. The Tribe has been fielding a 19-and-under club for many years, providing opportunities for young players to develop their skills. This year will be no exception.

The tryouts will begin at 7:00 on May 16 at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium, with the season kicking off over the Memorial Day weekend at home. In addition to regular season games, the Indians will also have scheduled trips to Arkansas and will be participating in the Glen Winget Tournament at home. Those unable to attend the games in person can catch all the action on KWON and KWONTV.com.

The team is looking forward to another successful season and is excited to welcome new talent at the upcoming tryouts.
