Indianapolis Colts Sign Final Draft Pick Wide Receiver Adonai Mitchell

The Indianapolis Colts have officially signed all of their draft picks, including wide receiver Adonai Mitchell, who signed a four-year rookie contract with the team on Thursday. Mitchell, a second-round pick, was the final member of the Colts’ draft class to sign.

During his time at Texas, Mitchell recorded impressive stats with 93 catches for 1,405 yards and 18 touchdowns in 35 games. These statistics led some to predict that he would be drafted higher than 52nd overall. However, despite rumors about concerns regarding Mitchell’s attitude, Colts General Manager Chris Ballard dismissed them as “bullshit” after selecting him in the draft.

Mitchell himself expressed dissatisfaction with being drafted later than expected and chose to wear the number 10 as a reminder that 10 receivers were selected ahead of him in this year’s draft. This determination to prove himself could be the driving force behind Mitchell’s success in the NFL, which could lead Ballard to have a more positive outlook on his decision to bring him to Indianapolis.
