Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has praised the Indian cricket team for winning their second ever T20 World Cup title by defeating South Africa in the final at the Kensington Oval. The team ended their 13-year wait for a World Cup victory by defeating South Africa by seven runs. Their previous T20 World Cup win was 17 years ago, at the inaugural event.

Tendulkar took to social media to express his joy over India’s win, highlighting the impact of every star added to the Indian cricket jersey on inspiring aspiring young cricketers in the nation. He pointed out the significance of India winning their second T20 World Cup title in the West Indies after their low point in the 2007 ODI World Cup.

The cricket legend also commended current India coach Rahul Dravid for his immense contribution to the T20 World Cup victory. He acknowledged the contribution of Paras Mhambrey and Vikram Rathour, who made their international debuts in 1996, in guiding the team to success.
