The World Athletics Race Walking Team Championships will be held on a 2km looping course near the Antalya Expo Centre, with the start and finish lines located in front of the Expo 2016 Botanical Park. India will have several athletes competing in this event, including Akshdeep Singh, Vikash Singh, Paramjeet Singh, Suraj Panwar, Servin Sebastian, Arshpreet Singh, and Ram Baboo in the men’s 20km race walk. Priyanka Goswami will also compete in the women’s 20km race walk.
The Antalya meet provides an opportunity for Indian athletes to meet the Olympic entry standards for the 20km races. A maximum of three athletes per country per event can compete at Paris 2024. Unfortunately, India will not have any representatives in the junior men’s and women’s 10km race walk events in Antalya.
