ImmerseCon 24: A STEM & Video Game Convention Celebrating Passion, Innovation and Creativity

Henrico Sports and Event Center hosts the start of ImmerseCon 24 with vibrant photos

The ImmerseCon 24 STEM & Video Game Convention kicked off on Saturday and will run until tomorrow. Taking place at the Henrico Sports and Event Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 22 and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on June 23, this event is expected to attract attendees of all ages who are passionate about video games and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).

Representatives from 8News were present at the convention center to capture the excitement and innovation that filled the event. Jeramy Moore, the Media Director for ImmerseCon, described the event as a video game and STEM festival with three primary goals: preparing the region for future STEM jobs, highlighting local geek communities, and creating a space for enthusiasts to come together and celebrate their interests.

This year’s ImmerseCon 24 showcased a wide range of activities that attracted attendees of all ages, including robotics competitions and virtual reality demos. The convention placed a strong emphasis on STEM through interactive workshops and demonstrations led by industry leaders who inspired both the next generation of innovators and gamers alike.
